Ah yes, the loyal, stalwart steed. Every nomad legend has at least one. But no one asked N'sheki if she wanted to be dragged into an alien world full of machine-things that acted and spoke as people. No one asked her if she wanted to go hundreds of miles from any other horse on a "mission from Goddess". And to be honest, she isn't very nice - just ask the other mares in the herd. If and when the ghost of Nick acquires the ability to communicate with animals, is she ever going to have a few things to say to him!

N'sheki sounds like a typical horse to me-- they can be brave, but they'd rather just graze and sleep with the herd. And pick on each other for lead mare position. I didn't realize N'sheki was a mare. That is really cool and very accurate with nomad culture since mares were preferred for mounts, especially for warhorses.
