Arrowflight - The Call 1

Haven't touched Arrowflight for a while. This is one occasion where I draw non-anthro planes (but this one is still sapient, by means most people would define as "magic"). Sky and his "adopted family", bond-sister Mariah (his energy conduit as well as titular pilot) and Dierdre (who literally wears "jewelery" composed of the remnant components of another Arrow), now work for private security and insurance firms as convoy guards and licensed privateers tasked with filling in the gaps that the first world's crumbling military infrastructure can no longer cover. The collapse of the US and the occupation of Canada and Mexico by the dominant successor power was a staggering blow to the rest of western civilization, and a rising Caliphate in the middle east and Mediterranean make it very dangerous for the Middle East and Europe. These renegade regimes now threaten to propel the world into another global conflict, and with the re-discovery of ancient psychotronic weapons, the world might not survive it this time! Civilization's only hope may well lie in... three pissed-off Canadian exiles wondering if their rotten, denial-ridden society even deserves to be saved. 

There are a few divergences that make this, for all intents and purposes, an alternate timeline; Sky's survival being one of them. How he became a sapient super-entity, well, that's a long story going back 50,000 years before the Avro Arrow was a glint in Crawford Gordon's eye. It culminates with Sky re-emerging from stasis into a very messy 21st century environment. Mariah's family line is blood-bonded to him, enabling her to channel huge amounts of energy to him for a limited period of time. Sky's new state frees him from the need for fuel or extensive facilities; his ability to shift to a (limited) range of forms means he and the girls could live just about anywhere. Good luck to them, they'll need every advantage they can get.
